Affected Heaters: The potentially affected heaters have “WARMWAVE” or “HUNTER” printed on the front and sold from September 2013 to February 2022.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled heaters, unplug the unit, and follow the instructions below to participate in the recall to receive a prorated refund.
Instructions:
1) Complete the form below so that we can verify you have the correct heater to participate in the refund
2) Once your application form is submitted and reviewed, we will send a recall mailer to your mailing address.
3) Follow the instructions in the mailer and send it back to us with the included pre-paid postage with the following:
- UNPLUG THE HEATER BEFORE CUTTING THE CORD TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK. Cut cord from your heater to render it inoperable.
- Date code sticker from the bottom of the heater
- ETL sticker from the bottom of the heater
- Copy or original of your proof of purchase or receipt (if available)
4) Allow for up to 12 weeks after sending back your mailer to receive your prorated refund check in the mail.
Prorated Refund Amount:
- Your refund amount will be paid in U.S. dollars and prorated based on the date of purchase that appears on your proof of purchase or receipt.
- If you do not have a proof of purchase or receipt, your refund amount will be prorated based on the manufactured date code sticker at the bottom of the heater.
